Plain-language version for all QuarryLink platform and API users.
1. Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") explains how you and your Users may use the:
- QuarryLink platform;
- QuarryLink mobile apps;
- APIs, integrations, and webhooks;
- documentation;
- support services;
- any associated systems, content or infrastructure.
By accessing or using any part of the QuarryLink Platform, you agree to this AUP.
This AUP forms part of:
- the QuarryLink SaaS Subscription Agreement / Subscription Terms;
- the Website Terms of Use;
- the API Terms of Use;
- the Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with this AUP, you must stop using the Platform.
2. Purpose of this AUP
The AUP exists to:
- protect the security and reliability of the QuarryLink Platform;
- ensure fair, safe and lawful use;
- prevent misuse or activities that could disrupt operations;
- protect customer data;
- maintain compliance with applicable laws.
The AUP applies to all Users, including:
- quarry staff;
- weighbridge operators;
- drivers and transport contractors;
- administrators;
- API/integration developers;
- subcontractors;
- site visitors using the Platform;
- anyone accessing via shared or delegated access.
3. General use requirements
You must:
- use the Platform only for lawful business purposes;
- ensure your Users act responsibly and in line with this AUP;
- keep your login details secure;
- promptly inform us of any suspected unauthorised access;
- ensure all data you enter is accurate, lawful and up to date;
- use the Platform only as permitted under your Subscription Scope.
4. Prohibited activities
You and your Users must not use the Platform to:
4.1 Break the law
- violate any Australian or international law;
- engage in fraud, theft, misrepresentation or harmful conduct;
- breach road transport, chain-of-responsibility, or workplace safety laws.
4.2 Harm or disrupt the Platform
You must not:
- overload or disrupt system performance;
- bypass or attempt to bypass access controls;
- hack, probe, scan or test system vulnerabilities;
- upload or introduce malware, ransomware, viruses or harmful code;
- interfere with other customers' data, access or operations;
- tamper with audit logs, transaction records or weighbridge data.
4.3 Misuse or tamper with data
You must not:
- access data belonging to another customer or tenant;
- delete, alter or falsify operational records;
- manipulate weighbridge results or dispatch data;
- store unlawful, dangerous or inappropriate content.
4.4 Abuse or excessive use of resources
Examples include:
- unreasonable API call volumes;
- scraping or bulk extraction of content;
- automated activity that impacts system performance;
- attempting to exceed licensed user numbers.
4.5 Impersonation or unauthorised access
You must not:
- impersonate another person;
- share or reuse login credentials;
- allow unauthorised third parties to access the Platform;
- create fake users or identities.
4.6 Intellectual property misuse
You must not:
- copy, modify or reverse-engineer the Platform;
- use the Platform to build competing products;
- remove or obscure copyright notices;
- misuse QuarryLink logos, trademarks or documentation.
4.7 Abuse of communications tools
Where messaging or notes features exist, you must not:
- send spam or bulk unsolicited communications;
- post defamatory, offensive or abusive content;
- harass other users.
4.8 Harmful or inappropriate content
You must not upload or transmit content that is:
- illegal;
- hateful, abusive or threatening;
- discriminatory;
- pornographic or obscene;
- malicious or harmful.
5. API and integration-specific rules
If you use the QuarryLink API or integrations, you must:
- use valid API keys;
- keep all credentials confidential;
- comply with rate limits;
- avoid excessive or abusive polling;
- follow API documentation and best practices;
- ensure integrations do not break or degrade system performance;
- stop using the API immediately if requested.
You must not:
- create unauthorised integrations;
- resell, share or expose API keys;
- reverse-engineer API endpoints;
- use the API to extract content for resale or aggregation.
6. AI and generative AI usage
QuarryLink includes optional AI-driven features. You must not:
- use prompts containing unlawful or sensitive data;
- attempt to re-identify anonymised data;
- use AI outputs to mislead, impersonate or falsify records;
- use AI features in a way that breaches transport, safety or compliance laws.
You remain responsible for verifying the accuracy of AI-assisted outputs and ensuring AI use complies with your internal policies.
7. Security responsibilities
You must:
- implement reasonable internal security measures;
- maintain secure passwords and MFA where enabled;
- ensure Users log out from shared devices;
- use up-to-date antivirus and system patches;
- secure any devices used to access the Platform (mobile or desktop);
- immediately notify QuarryLink of any Security Incident.
8. Suspension or termination for AUP breaches
We may suspend, limit or terminate access immediately if we reasonably believe:
- the AUP has been breached;
- your use poses a security risk;
- your use could cause harm to QuarryLink or another customer;
- required Fees are not paid;
- continued access would violate law or safety.
Where possible, we will notify you of the suspension and work with you to resolve the issue.
Fees continue to accrue during periods of suspension unless otherwise stated in your agreement.

Urgent incidents should also be escalated via your support contacts.
10. Changes to this AUP
We may update this AUP from time to time. The latest version will always be available at /legal/acceptable-use-policy. Updates take effect once published.
